Rather Splendid Nicaraguan Coffee That Actually Tastes Like It Should
Look, we won't pretend this is rocket science, but it is rather good. Boa is a proper Nicaraguan coffee that does what it says on the tin, which is more than can be said for most things in life. Soft marzipan notes greet you whilst brewing, followed by a beautifully balanced cup of marshmallow sweetness with just enough red grape acidity to keep things honest. This is the sort of coffee that makes you feel like you've got your life together, even if you haven't.

Variety: Javanica
Altitude: 1100 to 1300 metres above sea level
Process: Washed and sun dried
Tasting Notes: Marshmallow, fig and red grape
How to Brew
V60 (Medium Grind): 14g coffee, 30g boiled water, stir and rest 30 seconds. Add 120g water, rest 30 seconds. Add 100g water. Total brew time 3 minutes 15 to 30 seconds.
Aeropress (Medium Grind): 15g coffee, 30g boiled water, stir. Add 190g water and stir. Brew 45 to 60 seconds. Total brew time 1 minute 30 to 45 seconds.
Cafetiere (Coarse Grind): 45g coffee for 3 people. Add 96g boiled water, stir. Top with water to 1 inch below spout, stir again. Brew 6 minutes, plunge and serve.
Espresso: Single shot 12.5g in, 22 to 23g out, 28 to 32 seconds at 97 degrees celsius. Double shot 18g in, 32 to 34g out, 28 to 32 seconds.
