Candle Wise was founded in 2022 by Bella in Benenden, Kent — a family-run business in the Garden of England making home fragrance around a single organising idea: that scent is the fastest route to somewhere else. Each fragrance is rooted in a destination. The warmth of Luxor. The energy of Rio. The cool refinement of Kensington. The tropical ease of Aloha. The collection moves across continents and climates, but every product is made by hand in small batches in the same Benenden studio, using sustainable coconut wax, natural base oils, and ingredients sourced from UK producers wherever possible. The wooden wicks crackle gently when lit, which is either a detail or the whole point, depending on how you feel about that kind of thing.
The range covers large and mini candles, reed diffusers, scoopable wax melts, room and fabric mists, wax lanterns, incense and accessories — a full home fragrance offer from one independent maker who has thought about each product properly. Candle Wise won Most Innovative Candlemaking Business UK 2023 and Most Sustainable Candle Gifting Business Kent 2023 at the LuxLife Global Excellence Awards, and has made bespoke candles for Chapel Down, repurposing their bottles in the process. Bespoke and private label services are available. All orders come gift wrapped as standard, which removes at least one decision from the gifting process.
