Art by Jay is the work of Jay — a wildlife artist based in Surrey whose medium is coloured pencil and whose subjects are the creatures of the British countryside. Every piece in the collection begins as a hand-drawn original, built up slowly with close attention to the texture of fur and feathers, the particular way light falls on a kingfisher's wing, the quiet expression that gives each animal its character. It is, in every sense, the opposite of fast.

From those originals come a range of carefully produced fine art prints, framed prints ready to hang, illustrated mugs, and thoughtful nature-inspired gifts — all carrying the warmth and calm that comes from artwork made by a person who genuinely loves what they're drawing. Jay also takes commissions for pet portraits, if you'd like your own animal given the same treatment. Rather special.
